About Us

Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division, under the Department of Adult and Higher Education, Ministry of Education was established to ensure quality higher and tertiary education. The division serves as the Secretariat to the Bhutan Accreditation Council (BAC) which is the national autonomous body for accreditation, quality assurance and recognition of qualifications. 

Therefore, the division aspires to ensure provision for pursuit of quality higher education both within Bhutan and abroad with systematic mechanisms in place. It has been established to serve the nation by assuring that every aspiring Bhutanese receives a quality higher education.

 Mrs.Sangye Choden, Chief Programme Officer, Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division, DAHE is from Limbukha under Punakha Dzongkhag. She earned her Master Degree in M.Com (Economics & Finance) from Curtin University, Perth, Australia in 2006. She began her career from the Ministry of Finance in 2001 and served in different capacities. She joined the Division in 2012. She was engaged in the development of Bhutan Education Blueprint 2014-2024 as one of the core working member.

Some of her interest includes reading, travelling, knowing people, understanding different culture and playing sports.
