The Bhutan National Commission for UNESCO in collaboration with Non-Formal and Continuing Education Division under Department of Adult and Higher Education, Ministry of Education launched the Bridge Bhutan Project, today. The launch was graced by Dasho Karma Yeshey, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Education. Director General, DAHE, Chief of Divisions and relevant officials from the Ministry were in attendance.
The project is aimed at enhancing adult literacy and skills development in the country through the support of Korean National Commission for UNESCO (KNCU), Republic of Korea under UNESCO National Commissions Partnership Programme for Sustainable Development Goal 4. The objective of the programme is to enhance access to quality education for educationally marginalized people through provision of non-formal education and also strengthen the capacity of partner countries with regard to providing non-formal education.
